Peter Howell - Non Executive Chairman
Peter Howell FCIOB has spent his whole business life in the construction industry. He joined the Holleran Group in 2005 having previously held a number of non-executive directorships for major construction groups, including Mansell plc for 10 years. Prior to that he was Chief Executive Officer of the Try Group plc for 10 years (now Galliford Try plc). Before that Peter was a main board director of Trafalgar House plc where he headed up the whole of the substantial UK building, plant and manufacturing businesses.
John Holleran - Chief Executive Officer
John Holleran is the CEO of the Holleran Group of Companies, which provides a complete range of civil engineering services to public and private sector clients throughout the UK and overseas.
John joined the Group during the mid eighties, at a time when turnover was £2.5m. Since his appointment, the Group has enjoyed high levels of growth with the turnover today approaching £70m. He also has extensive experience of working with clients across many industries.
Neil Smith - Group Managing Director and Group Sales & Marketing Director
Neil joined the company in 2003 and combines the roles of Group Managing Director and Group Sales & Marketing Director. Bringing considerable experience in corporate management, Neil had an early career with RHM, Avon and Nestle before becoming a shareholder and Managing Director of a privately owned company for ten years. After its successful sale he then spent two years with the purchasing company, before joining Holleran.
Mark Telford - Group Finance Director
Prior to joining Holleran as Group Finance Director in April 2006, Mark worked in the construction industry for nine years as Group Financial Controller for St George plc and then as a Regional Finance Director for Westbury Homes plc.
Mark obtained an honours degree in History at the University of Newcastle and then trained as a Chartered Accountant with Hughes Allen.
Sally Holleran - Group Human Resources Director
Having joined the Group in 1990, Sally has subsequently held various senior positions and has focused on developing HR processes and practices.
Sally is responsible for change management, training and development, implementing HR policies and the alignment of the HR function to the strategic objectives of the Group ensuring the retention and recruitment of key people to support future growth plans.
Carmelina Carfora - Company Secretary
Carmelina was appointed Company Secretary in February 2008. Carmelina was formerly Group Company Secretary of Electrocomponents Plc. She has also provided company secretarial consultancy services to a number of companies listed on the main market prior to joining Holleran. Carmelina is a chartered secretary.
