Pipe-bursting
Pitch fibre material has poor structural strength and jetting resistance, consequently such pipes have a design life expectancy of no more than 40 years. Many existing pipes have therefore reached or passed their design life expectancy.
Where renewal of deformed pitch fibre pipes is necessary Holleran offers discreet pipe-bursting of pitch fibre pipes from manhole to manhole mitigating the need for disruptive and costly excavation. If distortion of the pipes is less than 20% they can be rerounded utilising specially designed tools and the pipe repaired using conventional CIPR.
